Originally created and developed by Chris Sawyer, RollerCoaster Tycoon is a popular series of PC games which first launched in 1999 (they where also ported for the original xbox). The original RollerCoaster Tycoon PC game was written almost entirely in assembly language, and based on the earlier Transport Tycoon games. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is the latest in the series, which was developed without consultation or input from Chris Sawyer. It is reported that Chris Sawyer recieved over $30 million of the games $180 million. There are no plans for any future games under the RollerCoaster Tycoon franchise.
The few pieces of content below are some of my ‘picks’ of internet history from the late RCT3RC.com, which I’ve decided to expire after five years of no updates and limited working content.
Visit the official website for RollerCoaster Tycoon. For more information and resources, the most recently updated ‘fan site’ I can find on the internettyweb is: RCTgo
(I may occasional update this section with both classic RCT and RCT3 content)

So you want to torture and kill you (pretend)peeps eh? Well I’ll show you how to do it…
(*this is all in good fun of course, original author ‘rage’ of ‘rct2rc’*)
Tower of Death
Ok the first thing you are going to need to do is, build a Launched Freefall Thrill Ride. Dont make it very tall, about 5 sections tall. Then set the speed all the way up to 90 mph/ kph. Set it to wait for a full load. Do not test it. Build an enterance and exit and a queue to the entrance. Now sit back and let the fun begin.

Shuttle Launch of Doom
First build a shuttle loop and delete some of the track sections. Then go and set the speed all the way up to 60 mph/ kph. Make sure it is set to wait for a full load. Connect the queue to a path, let the guests load up and watch the fun un-fold.

Reverse Crash
All you need to do is build a coaster which doesn’t have enough speed to get up a large hill, after a reasonably small drop. Make sure your station is long enough for two trains. Don’t test, and let the guests load up…

Puddle of Pain
Pretty simple, make a one square sized whole in the ground. Fill it with water. Pick a guest up, and drop them in it. “Help, I’m Drowning!”.

Altar of Doom
Raise some land, make it look fancy if you wish… Grab a guest and put him/her on it… Raise the Land VERY Quickly. Hit 1 on your keyboard and watch them fall into oblivion…

Automatic Killing Machine
Build a Ride…. Add a little water straight outside the exit. Test and open the ride. There you have it, An automated Killing MACHINE!!!
